Link relevancy is keyThursday Feb 11, 2010
People often ask us how important is relevancy when link building and we always tell them it is a top three criteria; the other two being the quality of inbound links a Web site has and the site's rank as determined by the search engines.
As such, it is important to make sure there is some connection between your Web site and the site on which you are placing text links. If there is no connection than you may want to think about creating content that aids in that connection.
Additionally, with regards to relevancy, you will want to find sites that reside on different domain extensions (.edu, .org, .com), different IP addresses and sites with original content. This will not only help increase your search engine relevance, but will also increase your Web site traffic through natural leads on these respective Web sites.
